Excerpt: Last month, Codecademy announced a special "API track" that focus on courses teaching budding developers to code applications that consume APIs. Yesterday Codecademy has grown that list to 56 more APIs, including Mashape! Codecademy is a platform that provides a way for developers to teach; and would-be developers to learn how to code.  It provides course-creation tools, as well as "badges" (awards) for developers when they finish certain exercises.
