Open Source

An API is inherently an external part of a company. The documention, code samples, SDKs, starter kits, platform development kits and any code related to an API, should be considered external intellectual property and licensed accordingly. Consider open sourcing all of the code associated with an API.

Open source will fuel the innovation that is already present in API ecosystems, further reducing the friction experienced by developers in successfully integrating their applications and businesses with an API.
